The Parents' Association of VS Jägergrund
The parents' association of Volksschule Jägergrund introduces itself – who we are, what we organise and which projects we help to finance.
The parents' association of Volksschule Jägergrund introduces itself:
First of all, on behalf of the parents' association, we would like to warmly welcome the parents and of course the pupils of the new first-year classes.
The parents' association – what is it exactly?
Our school's parents' association is a non-partisan and non-denominational parents' representation made up of the school's parent community (members) and is an essential part of the active school partnership.
The parents' association represents the interests of parents towards the school. It gives parents the opportunity to discuss topics and concerns close to their hearts and to share information with one another. The parents' association supports the class parent representatives in their work and organises activities that contribute to a positive school life.
In recent years the following events have become firm favourites:
- Welcome coffee stand on the first day of school
- Autumn festival
- Carnival disco
- Spring crafting
- Flea markets
- Buffets at school theatre performances
- Summer festival
Children, parents and teachers celebrate the end of the school year together at the summer festival!
The proceeds from these events and the parents' membership fees help to finance various projects:
- Project days for the fourth-year classes
- Project funding for all classes
- A welcome gift for all first-year pupils
- A farewell gift for the pupils of the fourth-year classes
- Musical accompaniment for the First Communion
How do we as a parents' association want to create further benefit for the school community?
We want to support the school specifically where there is a concrete need, and thereby enrich everyday school life and lessons. Purchases are decided in close coordination with the school management and the entire teaching team.
Where needed, individual grants are available so that no child is denied participation in school projects because of financial difficulties.
